I know I've been in the wrong on my cases before, and they would have resulted in death sentences, but never did I take the law into my own hands on the matter. True justice can only be meted out when there is a chance for the accused to have a defense, and then the defense and prosecution must be able to seek the truth together.
To give you a shorter version of what I'm trying to say: Yes, I would like to join this committee. I have a little bit of knowledge and experience of the defense's side, and I won't pursue a "win" over the truth.

Yes - it's a pity, really. He doesn't seem to recognize that the law is man-made and thus can be flexible, and is not necessarily the same as justice.
You probably wouldn't be surprised that his line of thinking doesn't stop at him. Some people will do anything to get their verdicts. He seems like a man who'll do anything to get his collar.
