I agree. He's not past helping. I understand him, in some ways, and I want to help. The trouble is getting him to let me.
The kind of coloring book to focus the mind, not farm animals!
...
...I see.
I can assist you with that, then.
[If he'd been sent to that alternate universe, and if he'd been raised by Manfred there...he'd be open to doing whatever she wanted to do with one of his frilly little jackets, too.]
It would take a lot for me to say someone is past help.
I know you mean that but I also highly doubt that exists here. We're more likely to find weighted blankets but he could probably use one. Most of us could use one.
He wasn't studying to be a cop in like, my world? But it was like he got remade. The memories just left me feeling so sour. I barely just started to think cops might not be so bad. The ones here at least seem to give a damn.
What is a weighted blanket, besides the obvious? What's the use of it?
Hmm. Yes, I can see why the memories might taint how you feel. It might help to think of him as the individual, not the institution...but in any institution, there can be that kind of rot.
[The rot had been the Chief Prosecutor and the Chief of Police, in his experience. Corrupt, evidence-planting Gant and Skye...and they'd made him a pawn in their machinations.]
There are studies back home that showed weighted blankets have mental health benefits for anxiety and depression. Someone got me one here. It's seriously helped me get better sleep.
I guess? The cops back home weren't great. They kind of sucked. My ability to trust actual cops is pretty low.
