He def seems to think he's "not worthy" of affection or some bullshit. I want to shake him for that. I may be pissed at all the dumb choices he has made, but I don't think he's past helping.

I agree. He's not past helping. I understand him, in some ways, and I want to help. The trouble is getting him to let me.

There are studies back home that showed weighted blankets have mental health benefits for anxiety and depression. Someone got me one here. It's seriously helped me get better sleep.
